The FDA has issued a recall for 836,721 units of cream cheese from brands like Dutch Farms, Fareway, Happy Farms (Aldi), Hy Vee, Kroger, Our Family, Schnuck, Essential Everyday, Dunkin, Piggly Wiggly, and Schreiber Foods due to potential Salmonella contamination.

If you have any of the recalled cream cheese products, you should return them to the store or dispose of them immediately. Eating contaminated cream cheese can lead to serious health issues.


#. Salmonella Symptoms and Precautions

Symptoms of Salmonella infection can include diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and fever within 12 to 72 hours of consuming contaminated food. Healthy adults might experience symptoms for four to seven days, but severe cases can require hospitalization. If you experience any symptoms after consuming these products, seek medical attention promptly.

The FDA initiated this recall on May 3, 2024, and it remains active. The recalled cream cheese products were distributed across numerous states, including California, Florida, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin, as well as Puerto Rico.

Schreiber Foods Inc. urges consumers to either dispose of the affected cream cheese or return it to the place of purchase for a refund.

This is a slight increase from last year's pass rate of 98.52% in the region. CBSE Class 12 results were declared on Monday, May 13, 2024. The national pass rate is 87.98%.  A total of 40,325 boys and 34,012 girls took the exam from Tamil Nadu, and girls scored 99.14%, which was higher than boys (98.4%). Chennai region was ranked third in the country after Trivandrum and Vijayawada regions with a pass percentage of 98.47.
